Is Ogie Alcasid transvestite? I was watching SOP a while ago and there came Ogie in a cocktail dress complete with stilettos and big hair (again). He always does this. I am beginning to think he is one and it’s starting to annoy me also. The show’s got plenty of cocktail-wearing femmes already. So what’s with the costume and all? And when Ogie talks, he plays with his hair, makes pa-cute, and bends his hips or something! He realllly annoys me! Ain’t cute dude.

Because of that, I went to my ‘mother channel’. Guess what, my much-loved-teeny-bopper-actress-who-thinks-she-is-the-prettiest-even-though-she-eats-her-words-when-she-talks-because-of-extreme-pagpapacute Anne Curtis is a ‘kapamilya’ now! Tsk.tsk.tsk. Where will she squeeze in here? Soap opera stars ACT SPLENDIDLY. Young divas simply love BELTING IT OUT. Oh, I know, she can be the trophy. You know that character in any TV series who just rolls her eyes and purses her lips when she sees something stupid. Or that kind of character who just has “whatever” for a line. That character who wears the prettiest of clothes and awful lot of make-up. She will fit in there fabulously.

On another note, I just found out from TV yesterday that MTV DISMISSED does gay too! “Dismissed” is that series of MTV where two girls date one guy and vice versa. They have gay episodes din pala. I was wondering yesterday why there were three boys. Kaya pala…

It was Bong and Wes who labeled us six girls (me, Tel, Jan, Loville, Anne & Twinx) as “Kids”. (Clean fun. Naïve. Immature. Occasional teachers’ pets.)

Not anymore, boys. Things have changed. And tables have turned.
Not true of course. ;-)

The Cast: Met in college. All young and innocent then. Seventeen and shy. Taboo that time: Cutting classes. French Kissing. Favorite Place: Anne’s house in Tandang Sora. Priority: Studies and Lunches in Ken Afford.

Cliché, but really, it is nice to look back & of course to look ahead with these people. Who would ask for more? It’s definitely a complete package- from a regret-hater-thus-living-life-to-the-fullest tisay, to bubbly and life of the party ‘puti’, to late bloomer but happy being one, to smoker turned health buff, to consistent achiever, to almost everybody’s dream boat, to recently resigned goddess & supreme thinker and to glamorous and lover girl overseas. Everybody has his or her own unique ‘karakas’. Just great! :p

We had a superb deliberation just now. Nakakatuwang tingnan na yung mga dating nag-aaway sa PE or sa group projects ay nagkasundo ngayon. Guess we really have grown. Hindi na makikitid utak. Hehe. This is baduy for some but what the heck, kami naman ang nag-uusap at hindi sila noh! Anyway, deliberation included: 1. change isnt a bad idea. 2. breaking out from something you’ve been comfortable with is ok too. 3. doing what you believe is right & trusting your own instincts are positively part of “getting there”. These are old issues, passé, & repeatedly told in different versions already pero very seldom lang i-put into action. Confrontations are hard to deal with so we’d rather ‘stick to the plan’ (and there are so many things to consider too).

Resolution? Wala eh. Just live life the way you like it (without the expense of others, of course). There.. ganon ka-simple.

Anyway, ive got loads of things to think about right now. First, my ending career. What now, Janice? (Lord, I pray for guidance and lots and lots of faith. May You help me become who You want me to be.) Second, drapery business. This is how my sibs and me call my plan of selling some pillowcases, bed sheets, and curtains. Writer turned businessperson? Not bad. Requirements: Budget/Capital. Where to get materials (Kamuning Market? Must check this out ASAP. Thanks to Ms Mirs). Marketing Plan (must be “bongga” and “Japan!”). This is definitely it! For the future of Junjun and Sandra! Third, he-who-must-not-be-named. As much as I don’t want to think about Lord Voldemort, it seems like HWMNBN loves occupying my mind! And for that reason, here comes, thought number 4: I wanna get Lovely Bones. I want new clothes and new shoes. But going back to thought number 1, I will be out of work soon and I need to save my money!!!! Plus, thought number 2, makes things worse too for my addiction. So better think thought number 4 twice, bebe. And last but definitely not the least, thought number 5: my ultimate dream. Teaching. Come October, you’ll line up in UP and enroll!

Boy, boy, boy. Now I understand why pimples came popping out of nowhere. And there’s also this study that women who think so much are more likely to die of heart failure. Yikes.

Just to break away from the pattern, instead of using the ladies’ room here in 9th floor, I went downstairs and used the ground floor ladies’ room.
I just thought of sharing. I am currently having my attacks so I thought of… “cutting loose”. It’s been a while. The last time I did this was two months ago when I changed routes in Filinvest. I used the other exit. Wala lang. For a change siguro or impulsive or wala lang talaga. Ah ewan, wala na naman sense ‘to. I am beginning to miss he-who-must-not-be-named again. Stop! Stop! Stop!

How about our stargazing moment at Jan’s place during our Film shooting? Everybody was busy pero tayong tatlo (omg, I forget that guy’s name, ung pinagselosan ni Paul, ung ngdala ng pizza?), we were lying on cemented floor and having some time of our lives! Ganun ata talaga pag abnoy. Pag gusto, gusto. Bottomline? Maldita talaga. Epekto naman ng pagiging middle child.

Eh yung time na kasama natin si Darwin, hailing a taxi in front of Miriam? Malala din tayo nun! We were dancing pa at si Darwin kung ano-ano sinasabe abt Lheona and his mumma! Hahaha!
Eto pa, pag may presentations sa klase at mejo tagilid ang content natin or pampagising lang talaga, dinadaan natin sa… “Ye, Ye, Ye, Ye, Ye, Ye” with matching “march in place” ; “clapping” and “stomping of feet”! Ang ingay! Pero ang saya!

Well, you know this isn't all! Ang dami pa nito, even the smallest of things, masaya sila for us! So to Net, to my sponge, perennial wake-up caller, generous supplier of happy hormones and positive energy, you know we have moments where we feel something isn't right, i guess that's just the way it is, so let's just go with the flow. And remember, sometimes not eating that marshmallow can do us good. There are so many things to be happy about. We are perfectly ok.

It’s good to have my mom here in Manila. Para sa mga hindi nakakaalam, my mom and dad stay in Mindoro. So it’s only the four of us here in Manila and whenever folks are here, you can just imagine how noisier and wilder we are! Anyway, since my Lola is still in the hospital, my mom has to go here and take care of Lola. Ang saya lang kasi nandito si Mommy. Plus, I had quality breakfast this morning. Oma cooked sinangag and danggit. No one can cook sinangag like her!

And on a Tuesday? The four of us (make that five since oma is here) having breakfast together? Here, breakfast is the most taken for granted meal, especially on a weekday like today. It’s either we eat alone or do not eat at all. Everybody’s busy with his or her personal businesses on weekday mornings. Jay-R cleans the car or studies his lessons every morning and eats in front of the TV set. Ate Jo has to get ready for work. I think she only eats a piece of bread before leaving. Ate Je is either asleep or studying and eats breakfast last. While me, I seldom eat breakfast. But today is different. Oma is here and this means everybody must eat rice… together. It reminds me of the days when we all four were still ‘bagets’ in Mindoro. Every morning, Oma cooked breakfast and prepared our baons while Apapa was busy outside in the backyard.

And this morning, the smell of sinangag, and especially the sight of my mom sparked off something. I miss being a kid and I missed my mom.

My Lola was rushed to the hospital last night. After the death of my Lolo, the health of my Lola suddenly deteriorates. She cannot anymore walk nor talk. Pero basta, wag muna po. She is the mom of my mom. Don't take my Lola yet.

I think I spent my Saturday real well. Real great. :-)
First, Serena Dalrymple incarnate and Pink Panther Captain Ball and Crush ng Bayan and Puruntong Lady, Ma. Christina Bautista is now in town! Yebah Yebah! Though she will only be here for ten days, it's good to know that POT-POT is here!!! She's still the same old, goofy maldita. Puruntong and round neck shirt are still her thing. Walang pinagbago. She arrived yesterday and of course the goddesses (Hera, Kamille, Rizza and moi) attacked her place!!! We missed this girl. Mataray. Makulit. Malikot. That's Pot for you. Welcome back Pot . :)

More on the good news, after not seeing this fabulous gurl for two years, finally we did! I'm talking about my great pal for ten years- Rizza ! If not for Pot's arrival, I think I or we would not have been able to catch up with Rizza . Grabe, we actually did not stop talking, from our boo-boos to accomplishments back in high school, each story seemed to reveal itself! Yesterday was really hilarious! It was actually a trip down memory lane. We were all saying, "Grabe, look at us now, we are actually living our 'what-ifs' back in high school! So eto pala tayo after ten years!"

Phew. It is really nice to see dearest friends. ;) They can really really make you forget of your dilemmas, even for a while. Though we seldom see one another, wala pa rin nagbabago pag nagkikita-kita kami. And for me, it says a lot about our friendship. Here’s to us gurls. :-)

But today my Saturday is...

n; 1. wake up at 5:30 am. 2. 6:30 am- leave home 3. must be at ABS by 7 to park car and print CV. 4. take the MRT for 9 am appointment. 5. pa-impress muna until 10 am. 6. go back to office for MTB. 7. eat lunch at my desk. 8. must be at Buendia MRT station by 3 pm to meet High school friends. 9. welcome back Pot! 10. must head home before MRT closes to get car at ABS parking. 11. Have a few drinks with friends before heading home. 12. Be home by 1 am.

Geez. Three appointments on a Saturday? Tsk. Tsk. Malala na ako. Oh, and I have to have the car washed. Make that four!

I sometimes get sad when I press the ‘B2’ button of the elevator, then walk towards my car and drive alone. Amigos, I present to you my…Dreaded Moment. If death convicts have green mile, I have my ‘B2 or Basement 2 Walk’. Sad place, that B2. Wala lang. Baka OA lang talaga ako pero basta, it saddens me whenever I walk there. Do you actually feel light when you walk there?? Low ceilings. Harsh hisses of the exhaust. Selfish place. Some strong force there really makes me think of things I would rather bury and burn!

That B2 Walk makes me think of he-who-must-not-be-named. It is actually him who first pops inside my head whenever I walk towards my car. There are really some things that even if you’ve put so much effort to scrap it off, they recur still. Also, I think of my ending career here in ABSi. I wonder where in this world will I land. I have been so much comfortable with my ABSi life, that right now I feel like a fresh grad again. And I will miss the friends I made here too. Hayy.. it’s very seldom to meet this kind of bunch! I just hope my teaching career will really push through (now I’m getting real excited).

Anyway, Kate left ABSi already. Right now, all I can say is, sayang! As a send-off, E-Gurls treated her to Chilis yesterday (I always love their Nachos). The four of us there, talking about our personal lives, no work discussed. Twas really really great. To Kate, you’ve got potential gurl. I wish you all the best.

Wednesday, 2am. My friend called me up. She was crying the whole one hour we’re talking. I hope she’s feeling better now.
This morning, another friend, over YM, said she’s been having active tear glands lately. She didn’t exactly tell me why but I think I already know what it is. Like what we always say, this is all but part of being supreme. Antagonists come and antagonists go. And sometimes, you need to allow yourself to be doomed. To my much-loved co-supreme sister, you will definitely feel better. Trust me.

I think I just ran off from the traffic enforcer this morning.
My plate ends in ‘5’. Coding ako.
But since I don’t want any hassle or pay the price, I ran off.

I didn't go to work today. I declared this day a "Abby Holiday". Huh? Anyway, my AB side has been lately making her presence felt and I think I'm dangerous. You see, I cannot overpower this side. Ergo the holiday.

But really, I was supposed to go to this interview. Dressed in my preppy attire (sort of my lucky get-up), I was all ready to hit EDSA! Yebah! But I guess my lucky get-up wasnt lucky enough today. Tricyle drivers were blocking all exits of Filinvest. Protest rally. (shit! male-late nako!). I waited. Pero they wouldnt let us leave Filinvest. I guess you know what happened next. I missed the interview because of silly drivers. Kewl.

But this article isn’t really for them. I have built up the family’s pets too much. Masakit ang ulo ko at hindi makapag-isip ng mga kelangan gawin. Pero sa totoo lang, there is really nothing urgent today. It’s a stress-free Monday, I guess. The two projects that I have been working on are both on hold which is so not new to me anymore. I am a true-blooded jinx ata. Again, the signs are everywhere. This always happens, so Janice, do not pretend anymore that you are affected by it. This happens every time. Jinx ka lang talaga ata, Janice.

Anyway, un nga, I am not doing much today although I received a text message from Apples of At Home Ka Dito, they will be pushing through with their promo on the 27th. Meaning, I have to re-apply the promo again to DTI (DTI= waking up early, MRT ride, Marlon, hunger). So I guess, I will be working on this promo until my last day here. I just hope this time it will REALLY push through. There is nothing worse than wasted effort (besides a broken heart of course, bwahaha, ka-baduy).

I will be playing badmint tonight again with the powerhouse. And guess what, Manang Lou is back! (very coherent with my first statement.. geez). My sibs were all worried yesterday since it’s the start of their classes today, they were worried on who’s gonna do the laundry, the dishes, cook food, etc. since Manang Lou was still in Cagayan. But God is really so great! Manang Lou returned this morning! Wowowee!

Rose and Grace in Batangas is the family's favorite stop-over when going back to Mindoro or when going here in Manila.

We love pinoy food! From their famous bulalo to those big oysters and shrimps, wooowww, Rose and Grace is REALLY worth the stop (and the trip's delay).

This morning, my brother and I, had a chance to feast again on Rose and Grace. Our dad had a meeting there at 9am and ehem, we tagged along.

First, Jay-R and I, checked on the pasalubong corner of the resto! There were pilipit (that twisted bread with sugar) and giant yema, pastillas, macapuno.. lahat ng matamis andun! Anyway, we bought pilipit, pastillas, giant yema and spicy tamarind. We ordered Bulalo too. We were getting hungry na kase and hindi pa tapos ang meeting ni apapa. So we ate. Sarap ng bone marrow (utak)! The left-over, of course, was for Sam and Max. They'd be excited again! =)

Definitely worth everything. =)

Sam got all soaked up today. My fault.
My sis and I went to the mall this morning and Sam was tied up near our gate. Twas all so sunny kanina so I did not anymore 'relocate' Sam. But then, it rained still. Poor dog. When we came, she was jumping and real wet! I dried her up agad. She might get sick or something and if ever, we have to call the vet again (Doc's got expensive medicines..).

By the way, the clothes my sister washed this morning were all soaked up also! Manang Lou is in the province again that's why we do the chores (we?). She was not happy about it.

On the other hand, our other dog Max (half Labrador Retriever and i dont know the other half), is pregnant pala! Pina-stud namin siya weeks ago to a Labrador named Jumbo. Ngayon ko lang nalaman. We will have so many pups na naman! Exciting! :-).

My V200 for the third time has to be brought to Samsung Service Center.

The first time was when all my downloads in my Funbox were suddenly deleted. The software had to be upgraded.

Second time, the built-in camera went blank. The film inside my phone was ripped off. So they had to replace my camera. Ok.

And now, my phone hangs whenever I try opening these messages I received from well, from us, 2366. Geez. I need to bring this again to Samsung. Just great. Talk about hassle. The software must be upgraded daw ulet. Meaning, all the images I have in my phone will be erased. Ang cute!!!

Good thing, I have warranty.

Yep, these past few days, I have been "rerouting" my free time to the power Bs (badmint and bowling).

I think this is good for my weight gain program. I don't eat kasi before we play. So after playing, I am really, really starving! Last Monday night, I feasted on sinigang, 1 1/2 cups of rice, pineapple and mais for dessert! Hahah! I was sooo hungry talaga! I usually play badminton with the "powerhouse" (Jovan, his lovey-dovey Charo, Ms Mirs, Gracey, Candice, and Jessie and Pebbles) after work. At Whoosh in Quezon Av. Reasonable price and very accessible.

I play bowling naman with my sibs and cousins. Sort of QT na rin every weekend. Ang saya lang, kasi I never played bowling before but now, I am really beginning to love it. I sure am looking forward to our next tournament.

I may be a graduate of Communication Arts but my passion for teaching has never left me. This is my childhood dream actually. When i was still a kid, I always pretended to be a teacher. I had lesson plans, class records and of course, I had imaginary students. Nakikipag-usap ako sa hangin. But it was fun. =)

And now, my penchant for teaching has been getting stronger. I have been submitting my resumes to different pre-schools already. And I just hope they will consider a Communication Arts graduate like moi. I am also very much excited taking that SPED internship! I am also interested training the special children. I mentioned this na here before but i want to say it again, I really want to teach these kids. I hope it will really push through! =) I really am praying so hard, that if teaching is meant for me, He will give it to me. I am more than willing to take up Educ. units if i have to.

But this doesnt mean, I am totally disregarding CA. No way. I never regret taking up CA. This course is the best.. It led me to a nice job, to so many opportunities (as my course is very general, from Marketing to TV prod), and to beautiful friendships. CA is the best still for me. And also teaching. Hehe.

Admit it, knowing who you really are is a tough job. Through the help of this book, maybe you will be able to discover your real self or things that you don't know yet about well, of course, you. Lemme give you some questions inlcuded in this book. Try answering too!

It’s a rainy Saturday.
I woke up today feeling the cold mist brought by the rain.
Summer has now proclaimed her season is over. Rainy season, for me, is the start of another year for the students. And this coming Monday, traffic will get worst again. A very strong indicator that the “bagets” and not-so “bagets” are back again!
Memories of school come flashing on me now..

• Grade school.
  
  
  
  • I had to come to school in my uniform already.
    
  • Belts must be in the same color with the buckle. That’s how strict the nuns were.
  • Must wake up at exactly 5:30am so I could leave by 6:45 am.
    
  • Flag ceremony starts at 7:20 am. Our dad would bring us to school.
    
  • Mommy would prepare our baon and force us to bring our jackets and umbrellas (kasi daw maulan).
    
  • She would then give me P2 (that coin with coconut tree) as my “spare” (I cant remember how much she was giving my sisters then).
    
  
  
  
  
• High School.
  
  
  
  • Transferred to an SVD-run school. I could wear civilian clothes for a week!
    
  • Must not be late or else I would be asked to pick all the candy wrappers littered in the campus. I did it twice ata (in my entire HS life).
    
  • Our dad would bring us to school again while singing “Bridge Over Troubled Waters”.
    
  • Mom would not prepare our baons anymore. She would give us higher “spare” for our snacks.
    
  • But the jackets and umbrellas were existent still.
    
  • I usually ate at Ate Beth’s Canteen & gorged on “pansit na may mataba’t payat”.
  • Different classmates every year. No star sections here unlike in my previous school. Met so many friends.

  • Probinsyana went to Miriam!
    
  • Jeepney rides. Stranded due to rain.
    
  • Soaking green skirts. Katipunan. Cancelled classes due to typhoons.

I am at a point right now where I know what I want but do not
just have enough guts to act on it.
Is this normal?
Is this because I am way too comfortable with my life now that I am
too damn scared to consider change?
Pero paano naman ang gusto ko?
Signs are everywhere. Or maybe it’s my mere paranoia.
I have so many what-ifs now. And I, a proven risk-taker,
am actually having second thoughts now. Something is wrong with me.
Whatever that is, I need to figure that out ASAP.
It’s easy to say, “Go for it” but when I am on the verge of getting it done,
I just suddenly back off.

Is this how a 22-year-old girl like me should really feel?

Anyway, my sibs are actually taking a trip down childhood memory lane right this very moment.

JayR said his most memorable childhood gift was that yellow helicopter he got several Christmasses ago.

Ate Je said she had an imaginary friend she named "Prepsie" (which reminds me of my imaginary kids, Junjun and Sandra..hehe).

And that's why I remember "Lita Lyn". No, she was not a doll nor a childhood friend. She was a pillow. My favorite pillow actually. Whenever I cried, I remember my mom giving me "Lily", and then I would twist or coil "Lily"'s ends until I fall asleep.

But "Lita Lyn" is now gone. She suddenly disappeared. And now I miss her not only because she holds the biggest part of my childhood... she is my favorite pillow.

It's just so nice to remember simple things like "Lita Lyn". Sometimes when you are thinking of so many things, you miss to think of the simple things. Those simple things which can make you laugh at yourself and beam. That's what "Lita Lyn" always does.
