Team Unity Chaka

One of the many things I loathe about is celebrities running for mayor, congressman, senator, etc. etc.

I hate to be judgemental but aren't they just using their popularity to get the thumbs up of the people? I, at the same time, hate to be narrow-minded, but I just don't remember any projects they implemented for their constituents.

And now, even my all-time idol, Manny Pacquiao, will run for Congress this May. Come on naman Manny! Ang galing galing mong boksingero, wag mo naman please haluan ng sangkatutak na dumi ng pulitika ang image mo. Even without a position in Congress, you still can help a lot of people. Mas nakakatulong ka nga if you are just a caring citizen of our country. But anyway, I just hope you wont turn out to be the typical kongresistas we have. I have a MALAKING HAY NAKO! for you MP!

At eto pang si Cesar Montano! Hindi na lang gumawa ng mga great films!

In this world, there is only one thing I truly believe in. And that is, go where your heart tells you go, where you can feel an overflowing happiness, where you can be yourself and not the somebody they want you to be...

But if MP's passion in life is to run for Congress and be the man with a lot of pork barrel, then so be it. Isang YES CLAP para sa yo men!

bonnieta

Hello again,

I have never told you about here the little girl I always see every afternoon. Let's call her "Bonnie".

I have been meaning to write about her but I guess her playfulness got the best of me and she just simply sneaks out of my mind.

I haven't seen Bonnie since Christmas. She was just gone for a while.

But this afternoon, while we were closing our shop, there she was again -- back to playing with the boys.

You see, Bonnie is very playful. She is a bit of a tomboy and runs around barefoot right across our shop. If I am not mistaken, she is at least nine years old. Bonnie knows every Pinoy game there is!

This afternoon, she was teaching her playmates how to REALLY play sikyo. I was looking at them for a while and they were just beautiful. After an entire day of work, work, work, it's nice to wrap up the day with kids who may be a little smelly and dirty but ironically, are just refreshing to look at. It makes you want to be a kid again and pretend that the world is a world of all the beautiful things you can hardly even imagine.

So back to Bonnie. I envy this girl. You see, I never played outside when I was a kid. I dont even know how to play sikyo! I was shy and I had a few friends. I just wanted to be inside our house and look at the kids who were playing outside. That's how I mainly spent childhood. I wasnt really a bibo kid unlike Bonnie here. She was so full of energy and she was a friend to everybody. If I am not mistaken, she was the boss of the group and the little boys, they are her reinforcements.

When I was younger, I never understood why my parents and even my favorite actors on TV call their kids as their little bundles of joy. But now, I think I understand them. I dont even know those kids and yet here I am, making a blog post exclusively about them and for them!

Bonnie and rest of the gang are just nice to look at. They make you forget that tomorrow is a war day again for you at work. They calm your nerves just by their mere shrieks and boisterous laughters. Bonnie and the gang are strangers to me but I dont care. Every afternoon, I look at them and it just feels good. They are so free and they just run around worrying about nothing.

Even if I am a child at heart and hardly worries about anything serious, there are still of course some instances in my life that I just wanted to be a real kid. A real kid like Bonnie.

MY KF.

My Koreanovela Fantasy originated even before our local TV networks bombarded their air time with Jo-Insungs. In fact, my Koreanovela Fantasy wasn't called as KF before. It was just, uhh, a 'thing' that I wanted to experience with the special people in my life. Only the Jo-Insungs strengthened this fantastic idea and made me think about it even more (and made me want it even more).

So here goes.

I have always dreamed of sneaking out at night for a coffee and doughnut (like the cast of Arirang's Non-Stop) or for a bottle of an ice cold beer at a local diner with any of the special people I have (like the cast of Only You). It would begin with a frantic yet excited-to-go-out phone call from any of the SPs, which after a while, would wake me up and make me don on a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt and just walk out of my house and meet my SP. Then, we'd just talk or sit still and savor the chilliness of the night (like the Korean love teams we watch on TV). Wow, even just writing about it makes me really excited.

I know, this is so achievable. But, if you live far from your friends and sneaking out at night is a mortal sin at home, this isn't really a great idea. :-) That's why this post you are reading is in fact a fantasy for me. :-) And although it's a fantasy, I promise to achieve it soon.

Again, I hope the cold weather we have in our country right now last for a while. And did you know that it's six degrees celsius in Benguet?? Wow, that's something.
