Merry Christmas Darling

*Currently listening to Kitchie Nadal's Merry Christmas Darling song...

Hi you guys, finally I am so back.

Whereabouts? In the island of Oriental Mindoro (having the time of her life with the family.)

I am sorry if I havent updated my blog for so long. I am currently enjoying the company of the weirdos and I dont have internet access at home. I am in my dad's shop now (this is the only place where i can get free internet access), thinking on what else I can do on my kukur business. Well, people are looking at them naman (though not buying, darn it).

Anyhoo, I will be spending the entire 'Christmas shutdown' here at the island and am totally loving it. This is the longest time I can spend time with my parents, and with my high school friends. Yihee! I will be definitely posting some holiday pictures soon (with my new digicam, ehehe). I cannot do some 'reflection kind of blogging' right now, as this place is the busiest place as of the moment (and I'm using their telephone line, I wonder if someone's been calling, hehe). -- one of the reasons why I can't think straight now. I doubt if my grammar's perfect also. HEhe. Magmadali ba!

So there, Merry Christmas to all. Please remind me that I have something 'palpitating' to blog about. This place isnt just conducive enough. Ang busy!

Happy Birthday to these special people! Dad, Jan, and Mina! I love you all!

Tatah!

Some Things I Cannot Stomach

I just noticed.

I made a list of the words people (we) often use whenever they speak in front of a crowd.

First stop: 'Basically'. In every beginning of the sentence, people say 'Basically'. Let's give the definition of the word shall we? The word 'basically' when you SHIFT + F7 it, means 'fundamentally; when you come right down to it; chiefly'. So guys, should there be an event where you cannot avoid but use the word, be sure to use it appropriately.

Next stop: 'Actually'. (The word can even start with an 'Umm'. Like this: 'Umm, actually...'. Whadda??) Guys, again, actually is the simpler term for 'in fact'. And we don't always say 'in fact' right?. Can you imagine saying 'in fact' whenever you start a sentence? No way. Same with actually. Don't waste your saliva with these words. People say 'actually' or 'basically' when they are thinking of the things they need to say next. This is when brain starts to churn her precious brain cells and scavenge for words she needs to supply to her precious master. ;-)Mahirap na trabaho ng brain.

Third jeepney stop: 'You Know'. Hanep! I don't know noh! 'You know' starts with a 'Well'. Like this: 'Well, you know...' Oh well I don't know. Again, don't waste your saliva. Saying 'you know' is similar with saying 'I don't know how to put/verbalize it'. So stop.

So far, I only have three. I will get back to this post if ever i will have more things i cannot stomach.

When They Die

It's just now that I have found out that FPJ is dead.

I am no fan of "The King" nor did I ever support him during the recent presidential elections. It's just that I cannot help but get affected by it and cannot help but think, "Ba't hindi na lang si Erap?". I know it's mean but FPJ was, as far as I know, a very warm person. Everything is so sudden. All the while, I was thinking, FPJ's gonna make it. But then, I was wrong.

When celebrities die, we make a big fuss about it. When they die, they are a headliner, in frontpage of your morning newspaper, and the talk of the town for like a month.

The death of a celebrity brings us to a realization that they, too, are humans; that they, besides singing, acting and dancing, have personal stories too. Most of the time, we, the viewing public, treat these celebrities as figures we need to carefully set our eyes on, just so we can comment on their craft. We have this mindset that we pay to watch them perform, that's why we expect them to be excellent. And the celebrities? They give all their best to entertain us. Sad job. Show business. (But the prices the producers pay them, good Lord, fabulous!)

Anyway, why do the nice celebs or public figures die first than the not-so-nice? Like Princess Di or even Rico Yan?

Back to my first question in this post, "Ba't hindi na lang si Erap??"

RIP.

My Christmas Wish List

I love love it! Christmas is just around the corner, (and to prove that, I’m wrapping give-aways for our clients) so let’s make way for my Christmas wish list.

First of all, multiple layers of flyovers along EDSA!!! – so my one and a half hour drive to work will now be cut to 40! Second, no more color coding please.. Third, Fuel Vendo Machine (just like Nescafe Vendo)– for ten bucks, you can have at least 5 liters of fuel for your car! How amazing is that! Fourth, for original DVDs and CDs to be at very, very low prices — P80 perhaps? Fifth, for me to finally get off from work and start on my personal aims before the year ends (like taking a shot in my new digicam, finish reading the books I purchased way way before, finish watching Friends on DVD, focus on my drapery business, play soccer, have some fun time with the weirdos and happy thoughts).

What else?

Ahh!

Sixth, for that Lea Salonga Home for Christmas to be replayed (it was shown so late last night, I couldn’t anymore wait for it). Seventh, to complete the Misa De Gallo this time. Eighth, to not rain on Christmas and on New Year. Ninth, for Rosanna Roces (yep, she is in my list) to be strong with all her problems now. And tenth, for my family and friends, to always be fabulous, happy and healthy.

Merry Christmas to all. Now, back to work.

The Power of Three is BAACCKK!!!

Yup, BP aka Poang P. is here in town! And the power of three is whole again. I missed my sister so much! She’s been working with my dad in the province for some months now and I totally, totally missed her! And yesterday, I was able to have some QT (quality time) with her. Together with Piningpine, we went to Glorietta to meet up with her. We went shopping! It was so fun! And really, yesterday was a Good Vibes day. Nakakatuwang kasama ang mga weirdos; there’s nothing really better than having some fun with your family/ loved ones. Happy.

We ate lunch at Tony Romas. Sobrang sarap ng grilled shrimp at mozzarella sticks! Super costly nga lang. Good thing it was BP who paid for it!

We went home feeling sorry for all the things we bought. We all exceeded our quota. Evil stepsisters were both whining on our way home. But me, I was happy even if I have no money already..

Shopping + QT with loved ones = Happy Janice

Here are some of my evil stepsisses stolen shots:

EBU & YOYONG

One of my Happy Thoughts.

EBU.

My younger brother who thinks he is everybody's kuya. Ebu is wearing my shin guards, the Nike headband, his Hawaiian shorts, his old school Nike basketball sneakers and a bandana made of silk as his cape and Wilson (the volleyball). How creative (and how 'sexy'). I apologize for that stand fan though, eye sore!

Weekend na! Yoyong, the super typhoon is gone too, thank God! You can still send donations to all those who were greatly affected by Yoyong.

Click me to go to SAGIP KAPAMILYA site.

I Said We Pray (Pray)

And I pray for everyone's safety.

It's signal No. 2 already here in Manila and Yoyong is making his freaking presence felt... and we're still here at work, secretly praying that big bosses will already send us home.

Earth to big bosses... Yoohoo.... Guys?

Piningpine & Me

Sunday. Bonding day with Piningpine. We were at Glorietta as early as 10:30am. She wanted to try that Power Dose Special in Salon de Classe. And me, well, I just wanted to shop. I am running out of jopis attire, and last Sunday, I was in dire need to look for new get-ups. The mall was calling me (for the nth time).

We ate our breakfast in Sugarhouse. I had puttanesca while Piningpine had her favorite stroganoff. I ordered Coffee Jelly as well. Ang saraappp! I missed this one! The coffee jelly reminded me of Mirsbin. She always treats ABSi with her homemade coffee jelly. (I obviously miss the group, especially during this kind of season).

Back to my bonding with sister, she went out of the salon like a queen! Haha! Her hair was perfect! I liked it! It was softer and more manageable now. I think it would last for like a month. And I was so happy that Piningpine felt good after. She was such in a happy mood the whole day. To prove that, she never complained when I was being “finicky” with the clothes. She even helped me choose (well of course, she chose the ones she could wear too!). We had a great time! Piningpine with her new ‘do and me, with my new clothes.

I love love it!

Have a great week people!

By the way, TeamMDi (that's us) started rehearsing already for our Christmas Party Presentation last Saturday! Tiring yet fun, fun, fun! Go go go! I might be able to post some pictures in the coming days!

The CD

This is such a good Saturday! The sun is out and it isn't too hot. The traffic in EDSA is tolerable and everybody at work seems to be having a good time listening to the 80s hits. Btw, our theme this Christmas here at work is 80s. Bring out the bangles baby!

And what made this day extra fantabulous was my dinner with Tundah, Jes, Tibak and Mina. Nothing deep and palpitating was talked about, but we were all merry inside the car, banging our heads to Jes' newly burnt CD! Good thing, she forgot to get her CD in my car when she went home! I have the entire day today until tomorrow to listen to it! The CD is the "soundtrack of her life". Naks. It has Texas' "In Demand" and Vonda Shepard's "Baby, Don't You Break My Heart Slow". Actually, these girls are compiling all their fave hits, mushy and non-mushy; researching all its lyrics and well, banging their heads to it! Hehe. Me? Well, we all looovvveeee the same things naman, so I will just ask for some copies!

We ate dinner in Superbowl Eastwood. :D We even saw Bien (and her Lolo). Haha.

Radio Ga-Gas: Mina, Tundah, Jes, Abnoy, Tibak

You should try hit Eastwood and see this "statue man in copper"! He's so damn great!

I will see you guys tomorrow for our "sure sked" SOCCER!!!

I Don’t Like This Post. At All.

Last night, Ebu asked me to buy barbecue and squid balls for him in the Filinvest bazaar. I was so annoyed when I drove there and saw no bazaar, no barbecue and squid balls stand. I was so tired from work and still, I didn’t get anything from actually driving out of my way. Instead of driving back to my place, I stayed there. The now-gone bazaar was near the church. So I stayed and I prayed.

I prayed for Dolly most especially. And I made a DEAL with the original Supreme Being. And it’s all up to Him now.

Here’s another BV… A solid proof of how inefficient I can get! What is wrong with me?? They followed IT up once again. I used my lame excuse and it didn’t work! I have to act fast! Move it, move it!

Earth is now starting to swallow me. I feel so bobo. Tonto!

Bullseye Sequel

Saw this in Jas' blog... This is Bullseye Part 2, my dear friends. Why is it always me who gets hit? Can I just say 'darn it'?

Japanice thinking, Kung makapag-blog ako, parang wala akong work. Yikes.

"Yes, my mind was wandering. I wished I were there with someone who could bring peace into my heart -- someone with whom I could spend a little time without being afraid that I would lose him the next day. With that reassurance, the time would pass more slowly. We could be silent for a while because we'd know that we had the rest of our lives together for conversation. I wouldn't have to worry about serious matters, about difficult decisions and hard words."

-Paulo Coelho, By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept

O di ba?

I Need This.

This is the time when I just want to watch all the DVDs at home, curl up in bed, talk to my friends, have coffee during lunch break until 3pm, and well, play soccer!!!

And this is the great time to buy new outfits too..

Bullseye

Cause what i don't understand
Is why i'm feeling so bad now
When i know it was my idea
I could've just denied the truth and lied
Now why am i the only one standing stranded
On the same ground

--Kitchie Nadal, Same Ground

She Goes Korean Now

After the hullabaloos of Korean flick, My Sassy Girl, here comes The Classic. It was really a good thing that I bought its DVD the last time I went to TS for some Pirated DVD Shopping.

The Classic is a typical romantic flick, it was beautiful nonetheless. It had this romantic feel on its entire running time. I especially loved the scene when Jo-Insung walked So Yen-jin to the library.... this scene had a surprising twist revealed during the latter part of the movie which made this my favorite. And you should not be bothered by Jo-Insung's pictures in this post. This Korean guy (like Josh Hartnett and Edward Norton) is my ultimate celebrity crush. He appeared in Arirang's Non-Stop, which unfortunately isn't being shown anymore. I hope they'd bring it back.

Anyhoo, I suggest you go see The Classic; you will suddenly feel the urge of getting soaked in the rain after watching this movie. And the cinematography and the background music, perfect. To those with weak hearts and who are natural masochists, this one is for you.

Click me to listen to Pachelbel's Canon in D Major (in the OST of Sassy Girl and The Classic).

Si Hera

"I thought she was Chinese back then..."

This is Hera million years ago. Now, who would ever think that this harmless-looking bruha would be the Vice President of Tourmaline, the topnotcher in her entire high school life, the highest ranking lady official in CAT, the lover of Moonpools and National Bookstore and Cartoon Network and Disney Channel (mejo abnoy din kase 'tong si Hera eh), the scholar of the top university? Yep, that's how powerful she is, and there's more! These are just her (academic) achievements, wait 'til you hear the more personal stuff! But, I don't wanna be mushy mushy today..... I'm sure Hera would know why.

Notice that I didn't include her being the 2nd runner up in Bb. Agham. Oopss! Sorry! :p

To Hera Banana, who will be 18 tomorrow, have a great birthday dear. You go girl! :D

Dito lang ME! (hahahah!)

Partial Block

WE just can't get enough!

Do you still want more?? Because I will be posting some more soon! :D

See Mina's Blog For More!

The Party That Was

Meet the partial block. Those standing were Susa (good to have you back), Kiray, Bong, and Barbie. Those sitting pretty were Me (ehem), Mina, Osang, and Tibak (and her signature pose). Sayang, Tundah, Switart, Mata, Boylet, Tibs were not able to come.

We had a blast yesterday at Champy's Birthday Party / Baby Shower. Champy (who is ironically not in picture), turned 23 and will be having a baby next month! Yep, someone's gonna be a mom in our group now. The party also turned out to be a reunion (for me) as I saw my "long-lost blockmates" (Twinx, Brit, Bong, Barbie, and Kiray).

And it is always nice and super fun to see these faces. God, I suddenly miss college!

Back to the party, it was fun, and well, what it made more fun was we took pictures of ourselves the entire night!!! Hindi kame mashado addict sa mga sarili namen. Hindi rin kame vain. We just looovveee picturessss!!!!

I just hope I'd be able to grab some copies of those very beautiful photos. (MINA! SUSA! KIRAY! BARBIE!)

NEWS FLASH! NEWS FLASH! NEWS FLASH!

Tomorrow is the 18th Birthday of my Best Friend, H-E-R-A B-A-N-A-N-A!!!! Advance Happy Birthday Gurl... I love you! And like what I have recently said, you are the best mare in the world!

Of KN

Protein Shake is so great! :D He gave me (as his Christmas gift daw) a copy of the latest album of Kitchie Nadal!!! Thank you, thank you! I have been eyeing this CD since last week.

Actually, I wasn't a Kitchie fan before. But when I heard some of her songs, OMG, she is terrific! She writes her own songs. I only saw her perform when I was still in Miriam. She was the lead singer of Mojofly then. Oooh yeah, I saw her too during a PinoyCentral Eyeball event years ago when I was still with ABS. And pmp even came up onstage and sort of danced/sang with her..

Anyhoo, Kitchie is like Fiona Apple and Dolores of The Cranberries. And sometimes, she is so Bjork. And that's why I like her. I loooove these female rockers. :D

Go get her CD now, it's worth it. Take note of the lyrics. Some sort of torture but ok lang, ang sarap pa rin pakinggan..

This is definitely the CD you can listen to while battling your way out of Makati and EDSA.

Goodness gracious.

You Soccer!

Hello...

Still soccer, people.. :-)

Doing the warm-ups.. That's me in front. ;-)

I can't, I can't.. Pulikat

(L-R: Osang, Tibak, Mina, Pongs, Tundah and Me!)

My Saturday night turned out to be real different as I played soccer with my college friends. Instead of dinner, coffee, and some booze, I kicked some ball and donned my new soccer uniform (and new soccer shoes, and new soccer socks, hehe).

It’s a good thing that I joined these gurlaloos. Soccer + QT with the Happy Thoughts = a generous amount of good vibes that will keep me going for the rest of the week. I (fervently) hope no stupid dude and no stupid work will ruin my “great week ahead” attitude.

Back to soccer, I am no athlete. So I guess you probably know now what happened in the field. I just ran, tried to score, and tried to kick the ball. I'll do good next time ;-)

Notice my post's title. These were Tibak’s exact words when she had cramps. Thanks to her shin guards. :D

Question

I was talking to my friend Oyie last night. And she had this theory:

Not her exact words, but the idea was: "Maybe, when meeting someone, we should not use "sparks" as a basis of liking this person, or if this person is a 'potential'. Maybe we shouldn't let that 'feeling' on the first meeting have a say at all. Maybe we should try to get to know that person instead. Smooth-sailing. No complications. We will just go with it and maybe, that's what we really need, someone we can 'sail along' with.. And sparks, well, they die out fast. Right?"

I dont know if you know what I mean. And I am not sure if I'm going to agree. But you know what, on previous relationships, I based everything on "sparks".

Maybe the next time I'm gonna meet someone, I'd follow Oyie's theory..

Next LB Na!

I totally agree with my goody friend, Mina. When is our next LB, guys? And I so miss you all!

I am super excited with football on Saturday! :D

The Happy Thoughts keep me going. Meet them!

Alternate Route

It totally went the other way. Weekend, please come fast!

And bulk emails, oohhh, they can be really annoying.

Desperate act early this morning. I don't consider it stupid but highly unlikely of me.

That's it.

A Waltz For A Night

I'm still not so over with Before Sunset. Lennie is the most fabulous (hehe) as she shared with me her MP3 file of Julie Delpy's A Waltz For A Night.

Julie Delpy or Celine in the film played this song to Jesse (Ethan Hawke). Oohhh, this part made my tear ducts active.

A Waltz For A Night
- Julie Delpy

Let me sing you a waltz
Out of nowhere, out of my thoughts
Let me sing you a waltz
About this one night stand

You were for me that night
Everything I always dreamt of in life
But now you're gone
You are far gone
All the way to your island of rain

It was for you just a one night thing
But you were much more to me
Just so you know

About all the bad things you do
But when we were together alone
You didn't seem like a player at all

I don't care what they say
I know what you meant for me that day
I just wanted another try
I just wanted another night
Even if it doesn't seem quite right

You meant for me much more
Than anyone I've met before
One single night with you little Jesse
Is worth a thousand with anybody
I have no bitterness, my sweet

I'll never forget this one night thing
Even tomorrow, in other arms
My heart will stay yours until I die

Let me sing you a waltz
Out of nowhere, out of my blues
Let me sing you a waltz
About this lovely one night stand

Click me to listen to Julie Delpy!

I will certainly grab that Before Sunset OST!

Right Formula

Of course I wouldn’t want to be doomed forever. So instead of taking some Sunday rest, I decided to go out with my two girl pals, Tabs and Banana. We went to Galleria and watched Before Sunset. To people who said this movie was freaking boring, like that ticket lady in Galleria, bahala kayo. Because the three of us were so amazed with the movie! Our asses were literally stuck on our chairs after watching. Banana said, “We were like eavesdropping on the conversations of these two people”. And that was so true!

The movie totally moved me. It was so real. It wasn’t the typical feel-good movie where handsome guys are perfect, which of course, is so not true. This is the movie that actually happens in real life! Julie Delpy said all the memorable lines that I, myself, would want to say. I can really relate to her. As soon I get a copy of BS’ Memorable Lines, I will post them here. :-)

After the movie, we walked around for a while and tortured ourselves in shops I don’t wanna mention because it’s already torture (OA!). We ended the day with isaw and Pepsi Cola and a visit to UP Church.
Had fun.

I Can Manage

I just got home from my cousin Steffi's debut.

And the fact that I went to work this morning (as always), I should be reviving my lost energies by now with some quality sleep. But nope. Here I am, staying up late and I miss staying up late. For four months now, I have been sleeping at exactly 9pm. Darn Makati.

So there, I was at my cuz's party. Guys, there were so many bagets (aka young dudes and dudettes). They were so kewwllll..... SKL, my other cousin, Sara, asked me if I have a boyfriend now. I shook my head. "Suitors?", she asked again. I shook my head (again). She couldn't believe it but I was able to convince her. I felt terrible after but I managed to take control of it and shrug it off right away. Thank you JC.

Stupid, Stupid

If there is one thing I am good at, it is getting away-- with pain, with mistakes committed, with almost everything. Shrugging something off has long been practiced by moi. I just... snap out of it... fast.

But, there's always an exception. I cannot seem to get away with the current happening. Well, maybe because I like it too, pero, I know, in the end, I will be the one, who will (again) be doomed.

Can I really take the nearest exit now?

Bakit parang ang lungkot?

Ahh. Stupid, stupid.

Excerpticus

I'm in the emotional state as of this very moment. My friend Paul has timely sent this email in our yahoogroups and I love it. Like the song, "it conquers all". Below is the excerpt:

Sadly, in real life, these three people are usually not the same person. The one you love most, doesn't love you; The one who loves you most, is never the one you love most; And the one you spend your life with, is never the one you love most or the one who loves you most. He/she is just the person who happens to be at the right place at the right time....

Which person are you in other people's lives? In the world so big, which person have you found so far?

And who has found you?

There. Blah.

Typical Sunday

This is exactly the scenario every Sunday afternoon in our Mindoro house, right after lunch. The weirdos gather around the sofa and just talk about "pressing" issues like my stepgrandmother's ten million years eye operation, dad's problem employees, dad's kumpares, dad's text jokes, Ebu's classmates, Omama's scoops courtesy of Aling Julie, her manicurist and a lot more! But did you notice that our dad has actually the most number of kwentos?? Hehehe. Just a little bit of a trivia, Dad has a special column in the local Knights of Columbus magazine. "Text Jokes ni Ric" is the column title. Tsk. Tsk. Tsk.

Back to the picture, the one on the far left is my sister which goes by the name "Piningpine"; She is seating beside the columnist himself, Apapa; That long-legged guy over there is my omama's fevorit, Ebu; and on the far right is my Omama. Not in picture is BP, who was still eating when this photo was taken. And of course me! Because I was the one who took the picture!

Friday na bukas!

Kukur

Friends, meet Kukur.. That’s the bedsheet on top, the packaging for the curtains, bedsheets, and pillowcases (not bad!), and the curtain display (ok naman sila diba???).

If you likey like them, just give me a holler. They’re very affordable too! The curtains come in various lengths and widths by the way. And we have pillows also!

I love them. I even wanna buy them..

Friday, October 29, 2004

Spookehh!

Look at this picture. This was taken in Days Hotel in Subic last Planning Session. Can you see that white cloth (with a hand) on my left?

Can you see? I freaked out when I saw this..

But this was just a work of adobe photoshop courtesy of the mumu expert, Francis (the photographer).

Happy Halloween Everyone!

Luli-Lu-Lilu

Jajajanice in vacation mode already

Oohh la la, it’s Friday once again! :D

And tomorrow, I’m gonna hit the road and join the rest of the Pinoys who will be going to their provinces for some well-deserved vacation! Yep! I will be going to Mindoro tomorrow, well, to visit my lola’s (pronounced as ‘lowla’) grave and to have some fun! :D

There was a rat in my cubicle..

Pollyanna

I have a new name. It's "Pollyanna". Let me give you a sample conversation between me and my mumma, between BP and mumma.

Me (over the phone): Oma!
Mumma: Pollyanna! Kumain ka na?

Another example:

Mumma talking to BP over the phone: Oh ano naman suot ni Pollyanna ngayon?
BP: Ok naman, naka white shoes si Pollyanna.

How su-weet. They named me after a classic character. Awww...

SKL, The kukur biz is slowly picking up. ;-) Sana magtuloy-tuloy.

Gee-Whiz

Gee-whiz. It’s been days! Anyhoo, I had lunch with my dad and my BP (business partner) Ate Jo. They’re staying at Manila Pen for a convention. That’s why I went there and had lunch with them. I was so full when I went back to my office. And tonight, I will be sleeping over there. Wala rin naman ako kasama sa bahay kaya dito na lang ako matutulog. Malapit pa sa office.

Well, Ive got no big news today. I still miss and think about dolly from time to time but I really try to snap out of it fast. And with my work, well, it’s so-so..
It’s mid-week everyone, ok pa ba tayo???

Home Alone

Star Movies just love showing Home Alone and I love them for that! I never get tired of watching this movie, just like Sleepless in Seattle. They both have this Christmas-sy feeling and I love the Christmas-sy feeling. :-)

It's Nancy & the Hardy Boys This Time

(While watching Friends on DVD)

I can't wait until tomorrow to blog. Sorry, I just have to 'type my thoughts away' or I might forget them!

I was in the mall this morning doing the groceries, and also, I planned of going to Bayo (just like what Lennie suggested). But I saw NBS first! Here I go again.. So there, like there was some kind of a magnet, I went inside the bookstore and checked out (again) the Great Illustrated Classics. I just love hard-bound..

What's with the children's books, girl?

And to my surprise (naks), NBS had Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys!!! Oh those frreeaaakking books!!!! I was dying to read them! You see, when I was a kid, I never got the chance to read these mystery/thriller books. It was my sister Ate Jo and my childhood friend Isee, who read these kinds of stuffs. But me, no. I'd rather read Sweet Dreams, Love Stories, and Sweet Valley back then. I only realized that I wanted to read Nancy and Hardy Boys when I was already, I think, in college. That's when I suddenly missed them.

Now that they're back, I would surely love to read all of em! And there, my budget for a Bayo blouse all went to three books...

Do you know how much I love the smell of new books? Read my profile. Hehe. Highly addictive. That smell.

Classic

Janice goes Classic!

Have you seen those Great Illustrated Classics in NBS ? I actually bought three of those! "Pollyanna" by Eleanor H. Porter, "Tales of Mystery and Terror" by Edgar Allan Poe and "The Pictures of Dorian Gray" by Oscar Wilde. And they're so cheap! (Of course, I wouldnt buy three books at the same time if they're expensive, no way!) Sobrang easy read! (They're illustrated and I am a visual person!) I just finished Poe's and am starting on "Pollyanna" now!

On the other side of the "book-ish" news, I really hope I can buy the Anne of Green Gables books. But the whole set costs one thousand plus pesos and I am having second thoughts of buying them since I can use the money for more practical things (like my gas, parking, prepaid card..). Now I'm having a dilemma! But really, they are a great collection. :-)

Nearing 5K

I am finally done with my presentation. It went perfectly well.

By the way, my hits is nearing 5K. Salamat sa pagbabasa ng blog ko guys! :D

LunchBreaks

What I especially love about Friday is the lunch-outs. People seem to be all so happy during their lunch breaks. Maybe it’s because it’s almost weekend..

But really, I was in Mexicali with Glody for lunch and people there were really excited eating. I suddenly decided to not come back to office anymore and watch the movies I have long wanted to see. (But of course, I still did come back to office. Superego, man.) By the way, I had this Grilled Shrimp. It was suupppperrr fantabulous! I don’t know what’s in that dish, but it totally, totally tasted good! And the nachos…. Oh mama…

The lunch-out was great. It broke a some kind of tension that’s been brewing up on me since I came back from Subic. I dunno, I just have this weird feeling that I am not doing my work efficiently. I cant blame this to gestation since I have been here for quite some time now.. Anyway, I am little bit worried. I might be, you know, disappointing some people and Im kind of disappointed to myself too because of this. And this is not a good unique selling proposition. Oh I badly need a personal PR plan.

Contingency! Contingency!

The house is so empty without my sibs around. They are all home for the semestral break. (Sometimes I just wish I were a college student.) So it's just me and Manang around. I miss the weirdos.

On another note, I am now beginning to realize that I am actually out-of-tune with the "real world" lately. I was passing by EDSA yesterday and saw Megamall's "Now Showing". Can somebody tell me what "SkyCaptain" is about or that "Wimbledon" or that "House of Daggers"? I badly need some R&R. Hopefully, I would be able to watch movies this weekend.

And can I just tell you how work seems to eat most of my brain cells now? And I dont want that to happen of course. Contingency! Contingency!
