Come, Let's Relive Love.
I never saw moons knew the meaning of the sea
I never held emotion in the palm of my hand
Or felt sweet breezes in the top of a tree
But now you're here
Brighten my northern sky.

Colors of the season
I enjoy the bright color of
blue above me.
But today, a boring color of grayish white
flit around my head just like a giant halo.
I want the bright blue back.
It is definitely in my air now.
The colors of Christmas, right by my house.
I feel like a dead beat, worn out tire.
I am pale and rusty.
Shimmer will be very handy at this point.
I have no color.

geyting reydy
Maligayang pasko.

Be Deliriously Happy
Be deliriously happy. yep. from the words of Anthony Hopkins in Meet Joe Black.
I believe this is going to be my mantra starting today. Be deliriously happy.
My mantra for the past eight years of my life is, "I can get away with anything because I am a supreme human being". Whenever a feeling of sadness and frustration get the best of me, I leave the room, and just shrug it off, thinking that a brighter day will come my way.
However, I realized this isn't going to be the deal for the rest of my life. I decided to "be deliriously happy" even if a huge amount of trouble come my way today or in the future. No need anymore to shrug it off and walk away. I think I have been seasoned well and I think today and the future is the best time to just be hilarious!
26!
##
What are my ramblings as of this moment? Let's see.
Number 1. I am thinking of buying those "look younger in 7 days" beauty creams. Pourquoi? I think prevention is better than cure. So even if I still don't have fine lines on my face, i am very considering this idea. I am 26 after all. (big deal!)
Number 2. I wanna see my goats (one boy and one preggy girl goat). I wonder where and when I can sell their future babies. Dumdidum didum. When I see them, I will post their pictures here. Watch out for those! :D
Number 3.
Number 4.
Number 5. Wala na.
Fin!

See You When I Get There
As we approach the latter part of 2007, there are still some few things I aim to achieve and have.
One of which is watching again that popular-for-being-original-and-exciting gameshow, The Crystal Maze. Who would ever forget funny host Richard O'Brien and his four zones: Aztec, Medieval, Industrial and Futuristic (I think)? Oh I love this game show so much! I wanna go to Quiapo now and see if they have this one ( I also wanna get Heroes DVD - seasons 1 and 2).
:-)
Sana,sana, sana!
Heto ang patikim. It's nice to hear once again the CM theme song! Addict?

Utada Makes Me Sigh
26 is a huge number!
Happy Birthday to me!
As a birthday treat, I read my Libra horoscope on PDI. You see, I stopped reading horoscopes and relating them to my life years ago. I realized I didn't need horoscopes anymore to make me feel better. So I stopped reading.
But I guess old habits are just so hard to eradicate (?) from one's system. So here goes my birthday horoscope:
Something that happened around '99? I was a freshie in Miriam back then...
Dumdidum didum.

YOU BORN TODAY: You understand the human condition and use satire to comment on it. You're direct, even blunt if need be. (You can be tough.) Many of you have strong technical skills for something. You set high standards for yourself and drive yourself to achieve your goals. The year ahead could involve a major change, perhaps as significant as something that happened around 1999.

Halo-Halo ispeysyal!
HH # 1:
Pacquiao vs Barrera na! Nakipagpustahan ako. P50 -- tumba sa round 9 si Barrera. Good luck and go go go pacman! sapakin mo nga sa nguso si barrera! ;-)
HH#2:
I am considering a new business venture. Together with my sis, Piningpine, in the coming days, we will be buying goats slash kambing slash meee-eeehhhhh. A boy and a preggy girl goat. What are we gonna do about them? Well, we will sell their kids in the future.
(Let me correct myself -- I am not considering this new venture. I have made up my mind and I am just waiting for my folks to inform me when we're gonna buy our dear kambings..)
From farm to the world! Lala!
HH#3
I have been listening to Dolores's newest album. I am beginning to like her songs.
HH#4
I hate celebrity couples like: JUDAY AND RYAN; HEART AND JERICHO; REGINE AND OGIE. They make me say "bwaaakkkk" with some kalagara or phlegm on the side. Phew.
HH#5
Few days to go and I'm officially twenty-six years old.
Oh well.
HH#6
I saw on HBO a few days ago, My Girl. Yep, it brought me back to my youth and to times when i was just a kid who's always in haste to finish all her homeworks so she could watch more cartoons on TV. ..
HH#7
We had an American customer last week. He was asking us how much was this refrigerator in dollars?
Pinagpawisan ako at nawala sa wisyo. I suddenly could not remember how to convert! I was dividing and multiplying and dividing and multiplying when Mr. American said, "Let's try again.."
Philippine peso divided by 45 = amount in dollars!
Dang!
I was so humiliated. I was even in front of everbody. Napahiya ako. Pero well, ganoon lang talaga.
Logic and common sense and my complete messed up life with Mathematics must be blamed for this.
Charing.

Over Dinner
YEHEY! daw.
First time nila kasi kakain doon.
May take out pa.
Nakakatuwa lang. Kagulo kami kanina doon.
good night.

I love UMD for life
Too bad, I missed the showdown of Streetboys and Universal Motion Dancers on ASAP last Sunday. Elder sis Poang P said it was the bomb!
But hey! Thanks to Billie's blog, I was able to watch it! :-)

It's KC as usual
How come KC Concepcion is the new face of Bayo?
I cannot help myself but compare her to Lea Salonga, Kitchie Nadal and Barbie Almalbis, THE previous faces of Bayo.
What is the common factor of these three great Pinays? They're all true Pinays and proud of it. When you see them on TV or personally, you can identify with them because they carry with them an aura exclusively exuded by a certified Pinay.
But when you see KC, you just can't feel anything from her. There is no Pinay living inside her except for her brown skin and dark brown eyes. She is no local, no native. That's it. Listen to her talk and see how she carries herself, she spells western, not even asian. Well, there's nothing wrong with being polished like that. My little point is there's also nothing wrong with trying to see the other side of the world. After all, you are actually stepping on it right this very moment.
I am a huge fan of Bayo. I love their clothes as they fit me perfectly but seeing humongous KC posters inside their stores and even in their dressing rooms, i think i may have to say "pass".
Just another personal view. Fin.

Yabang kase
Did you see on TV patrol the great singing act of Christian Bautista??? Did he ever rehearse? Or did his self confidence get the best of him once again?
Puro kase ka-epalan ang nasa isip eh. No popcorn for you men. You should really learn from this. If I were your big boss, I would demand you to report to my office and give you a memo!

I do hope you're enjoying the rest of your week.

Sponge Cola
I listen to Sponge Cola whenever I am not at my hundred percent. I can find somewhere in Yael's voice a some kind of an escape. I love it when I can feel something from the vocalist. I love it when he sings from the heart, and at the same time, gives me the precise explanation of why I am feeling this or that. Especially today.
I have below the lyrics of my favorite song, Gemini. I love this song so much. Ang sarap sarap pakinggan. Here goes...
Come a little closer
Flicker in flight
We’ll have about an inch space
But I’m here I can breathe in
What you breathe out
Let me know if I’m doing this right
Let me know if my grip’s too tight
Let me know if I can stay all of my life
Let me know if dreams can come true
Let me know if this one’s yours too
‘Cause I see it
And I feel it
Right here
And I feel you right here
The vacuous night
Steps aside to give meaning
To Gemini’s dreaming
The moon on it’s back
And the seemingly
Veiled room’s lit
By the same star
And I feel it right here
And I feel you right here
Yun lang, good luck to moi.

I Love Dolores
The first audio / cassette tape I ever bought with my own money, if I am not mistaken, was the "No Need To Argue" album of my favorite band in the whole wide world, The Cranberries.
I have really become an extremely devout fanatic of this one. That's why when Cranberries split up, I was one of the many people who got sad.
Anyway, finally, I got the first solo album of Dolores O'Riordan.
Well, I love Dolores and some songs in the album are a bit so-so. I was kind of expecting some mellow tracks. I think her musky voice will be perfect for some slow rock kind of songs. But I still adore her. My favorite tracks in the album are Apple of my Eye, October, and Stay With Me.
THe first time I listened to the CD, I wasn't ecstatic. But I will listen to it over and over again and it's just because I am a huge fan of Dolores.
Tatah!

What Happened To Women Empowerment?
Whenever I see the local news, I am afraid to admit that it is quite inevitable now to encounter news about Pinays being raped in the Middle East. The worse thing about this is they are videotaped and some evil arabos send the videos to their peers and sell it or even sell the poor Pinay.
Sigh.
Good thing Pinays now are more brave and smart. They report these cases to the embassy. I just hope their cases would be noticed and be regarded as highly urgent.
Why do they let their wives leave and live with horny strangers? How come they let their wives??? Why not them instead?
Yun lang.

Sloth
Pambihira!
All the while I thought today is wednesday... And of course wednesday nights are reserved for CSI Miami and CSI.
Tuesday lang pala.
I felt sad. I began to ask myself if my life was ok or if it was getting boring already. But really tonight, I am so bored. There's nothing else to do but blog or visit my friends' blogs and then go back here.
I am bored tonight. Nothing exciting is on TV ( that Bachelor show on ETC is on tonight, which I find to be really desperate). I am so bored tonight. I think I need some extra curricular activities to pump me up.
I have always wanted to learn boxing. The local gym in the island is offering it now. I inquired already but I guess my willpower at the moment is weak and dormant. I don't know. But of course, it's in my mental wish list already. So there, sooner or later, I will do boxing!
Sometimes nothing inspires me. Even today at work, I didnt go to our store this afternoon and instead hit the bed and checked what's on TV. I am such a sloth.
I couldn't come up of something naman to inspire me. Of course walking Jet with PS and his dog Brad makes a big difference, but when Im not doing that, there's nothing else to do but hit the bed, pretend working, and eat a lot.
End.

Harry
I finished reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows several weeks ago. The book was actually what I expected - Voldemort to be killed and Harry Potter to be alive! Although I must admit that I wasn't thrilled at all with how Voldemort die. I felt there weren't enough killing curses flying when Voldemort and Harry finally met. They most of the time talked and kind of resolved all the hanging questions in the book. Voldemort wasn't tortured, his death was fast. It would have been nicer if Voldemort suffered...
But I enjoyed reading the book nonetheless. I am planning of re-reading it just to keep it fresh in my head. :-)
Harry Potter Part 7 (the movie) will be a great idea too.

Of Vern, Gordy, Chris and Teddy
Hi,
I saw on HBO this afternoon, "Stand By Me". If you were a big fan of River Phoenix, you might have seen this movie a billion times like me.
The first time I saw this movie was when I was in grade school on VHS tape. Apapa's former secretary lent it to us and thought we would enjoy it. We actually did. It was even in my list of movies I would never get tired of watching.
For those who are not familiar with the movie or for those who already forgot it, lemme refresh or introduce it for you. "Stand By Me" is about the four young boys who went out hiking in the woods in search for a dead young boy's body, their first taste of adventure. As the movie went on, it showed more than just having some fun time walking along the railroad tracks; it showed a great deal of dilemmas and personal grievances and insecurities and how they were able, though a little only, to resurface amongst those issues and enjoyed a bit of empowerment.
Now that I have watched it again, it made me ask some questions and well, compelled me to return to my thoughts and reminisce a bit. But my major question would be, how come the twelve year old kids of this generation don't camp out anymore? The majority of this age group had their noses stuck on their PS2s or on their PCs for some online gaming. Well, well, well. I wish they can watch this movie and make them realize how fun it would be to ride a boat and fish or climb up the hill, lie down under the sun and run in the rivers and swim naked!
Oh and I have one more question, do most of us have this kind of special friendship? Nowadays, I guess it's really hard to keep friends, those few people who, unintentionally, etched a huge mark in your heart and in your mind. And just the thought of them makes you smile and makes you appreciate life a little more. Well, i think that kind of friendship seems rare now.
Thank God, this isn't rare for me. They are abundant actually. Praise you JC.
End.

If I...
If I would have to invent something not so spectacular...
I would have to invent a remote control for TV with a paging system in it. So it won't be hard for me to locate where it usually hides. I just have to press something on our TV set and voila, I hear a beep from our remote!
This may sound a little desperate because for the nth time we lost our remote control in our mess here at home.

My LSS which I Love
Wahahahay.
Finally, there came a song aptly made for me. Ching.
No, really, Yeng Constantino's Ako ang darna, ako ang dyosa song is climbing up my charts right this very moment. I am not quite sure when this song first ever hit the airwaves, but if ever this song has been there for some weeks or months now, I must really commend the songwriter and arranger (was it yeng?).
Grabe talaga, when I first heard this song, I was like, "Oh-wow-wow, this one I love!" This song is so me -- I talk always about being supreme and just getting away with anything and just being you.. Well, here it is now with music and all!
And of course, I googled the lyrics and copied a portion of the song and I really had to paste that portion here:
Ako si Darna, ako ang dyosa Ako ang talang nagniningning sa kalangitan Ako si Wonder Woman, ako ang superstar Akin ang sandali, ako ang reyna ng gabi
And then this one also:
Ako ang bida ngayon (Masyado kang ambisyosa) Wag kang kokontra kung ayaw mong masipa sa mukha (Kung kaya, e di subukan na) Masipa sa mukha (Sipain din sa mukha)
End!

I think I'm JOSS STONED!

Been listening to Joss Stone's latest album, "Introducing Joss Stone".
This one's super different with the first two albums she released years ago. Although this one's more upbeat and more groovy than her previous songs, she still is THE new generation's soul singer for me. Her vocals is more powerful than ever, and her back-up singers and the musical arrangements are the best, awesome!
When you listen to her songs, you'd feel like you're walking down the avenue with your humongous headphones on and wearing a mini skirt and a pair of elevator shoes! And you're just gliding through, all breezy and beaming. :D

A Slightly Funny Story
Hello, hello. Still on the Harry Potter "fevah"...
When I was all ecstatic about having my own copy of HP7, my dad suddenly said, "Wala man lang ako mapapala dyan kay HENRY POTTER. Kahit bayaran mo ko, hindi ko man lang babasahin yan si HENRY POTTER!"
Bwahahahah!
Now I call my dad "Henry", sometimes I call him "Tito Henry" when I am trying to be a little courteous...

Getting Ready for Harry
One week to go and it's Harry Potter Mania once again (at least for the avid readers of the Harry Potter series)! Because of this very very exciting news, I am now re-reading Half-Blood Prince, as a reference of course.
I can't wait to have my own copy of the final book! Fingers crossed!

A Sort of kind of Funny na rin
The post you will read after this sentence is based on a true story.
I was in third grade then. Our school was preparing for our foundation day and I, together with my other classmates, would show off what we had learned in PE which was aerobics.
So our teacher asked us to make our own dumbells. Unfortunately for me, my parents at that time were in Bulacan, so I had my lolo to prepare the said dumbells for me.
You know what my lolo did?
He took four empty cans of milk (the big ones), filled them up with wet cement and stuck two sticks in two of the four cans.
When it was done, my lolo called me and showed me my dumbells. They were heavy, i mean really heavy for my age (even until now). But I never complained, thinking that they were really supposed to be heavy because they were dumbells after all.
I brought them to school the next day. When I saw my classmates' dumbells, I was surprised to find out that they only used small empty cans of evaporated milk and a really thin stick (my stick had a one inch diameter). And I thought, "they're pretty light too, unlike mine".
But you see, that next day, was our foundation day already, so I had no choice but use the ones lolo made for me.
My shoulders and my entire body ached after that aero stunt we had. Grabeng bigat men.
Now that I thought about this, natatawa na lang ako. Ibang klase talaga si lolo!

The Impacho Storeh
Hello, hi.
My dear friend pot pot is here in the island surprisingly. It's a bit of a surprise because she works in a far far away place that begins in letter T. And she has been working there ever since we graduated from college (which was 5 thousand years ago).
Anyhoo, my story for the night is my impacho story, or shall i say, my very first impacho story.
As Pot pot is here, the high school geng kind of celebrated her resurrection. I came from work and went straight at the party place with PS. I was hungry, exhausted, thirsty, and weak. Sa maikling salita, patay gutom mode nako. So the food was served. According to dear friends, they noticed how fast I was eating, gulping and munching on every dish on the table. I was, according to them, quietly eating a LOT which of course was so unusual because I am very picky with foods. But that night, men oh men, pwede ako lumaban sa buffet! Ye!
And so, after some minutes, I raised my white flag. I was done eating. Suddenly, it hit me, a very painful and tightening feeling in my tummy. Ang sakit super. Parang sasabog na masikip na maasim na ewan. I went to the bathroom, but sadly, to no avail. Pinapawisan nako ng malamig. I was scared na hindi ako makakapagcelebrate ng resurrection ni Potpot. So i lied down for a while and tried to tolerate the pain. PERO HINDI KO TALAGA KAYA! I went to the bathroom again. AS much as I wouldn't like to do it, I did it. I threw up, and there went all my favorite food inside the throne. Kakapanghinayang. But at least, i felt better after.
I ate again and drank a little after. May fruit salad pa eh. :-D
Ganun pala yun. Terible.

The Bug That Never Was
While watching Herbie on Disney Channel, I suddenly remembered something...
Back in college, close pal Angel Oyie, once said to me:
"Jajajajanice, for your wish to come true, you should count fifty red volks, with different plate numbers."
There was no deadline, they just had to be different from one another.
It sounded weird but I didn't really care.
I had a very particular wish at that time and I just wanted it to come true so bad. So I started counting. One, two, three, and so on and so forth. On my way to school, I looked for a red bug. On my way home, I still looked for them and made a mental note of how many I saw already.
However, days and weeks passed, I grew tired of counting. I gave up and just told myself, "Meron pa namang mga chain emails at chain text messages eh. Dun na lang ako babawi para sa wish ko.."
(Just another SKL story and fyi, my wish still didn't come true.ganun.)

What Jajajanice Wants...
In my spare time, or in times when I don't feel like thinking about work or doing some work at all, I think about things, although mundane, that I would love to do.
These things, I believe, would surely perk me up, give me a little sense of adventure and experience and at the same time, be a huge part of my photo collection.
With hundred and one percent of excitement, I give you my random list:
1. I sometimes wonder how teachers give classes now to grade school. Are school projects more complicated now than before? Do grade school students still own a pencil case with a keyboard on top of it? Do they still use and brag about their new "bensia"? What kind of notebooks do they use now-- the ones with anime cartoon characters or the ones with korean novela characters? Do their classrooms still smell like paper and eraser?
-- Because of these silly questions, gusto ko mag-sit in minsan sa mga klase nila. Wala lang, just to observe. Mangyayari pa kaya yun?
2. I want to go hiking or kahit biking lang. I saw this pink bicycle in our local market. It has a basket in front with a little bell too. It isnt the racer type kind of bike, it's a sort of a pa-cute bike, meant for r & r. :-) It's the bike you ride when you want to go to the park or to the nearby town, etc etc.
I want to go hiking because I want to go fishing. I live in an island and yet I haven't gone fishing yet. I want to take a picture of me and PS fishing, catching a fish and cooking that fish "batibot" style. If you dont know the "batibot" style of cooking fish, please leave a comment. Heheh.
3. I want to box. The trainor has been reminding me to register for months now. Basta, Ill box, if not now, next month. Basta, basta. I need some rejuvenation. Charing.
4. I want to travel. Yun lang. Kahit saan, basta makaalis lang. Kailan naman kaya 'yun. Hoh well.
5. I want! I want! I want!

ye ye
Last night, I was thinking about what to write here in Inertia. I thought of something. I was actually starting it now but I decided to stop and delete the words instead.
I realized that there are stories in your life that are meant to be kept; stories that, once in a while, linger inside your head, wanting to be told, but then again, you just don't. You just move on and do your routines.

My Celebrity Hate List
Hello y'all.
I gotta admit there are famous people in this world who are just so "pheewww!" pour moi. And here they roll...
1. Wendy and Bruce of PBB (Wendy is my literal descripition of phony and over confident; Bruce, on the other hand, is just.... wala.... he's too artsy fartsy. Wendy is highly contagious.)
2. Piolo Pascual (While a lot of women and men fall for Piolo and are so crazy about him, I, on the other hand, have to disagree with them for reasons that I am not very willing to divulge.)
3. Juday. (Ewan, basta.)
4. Regine Velasquez. (I used to like her, but when rumors started to spread and when she admitted them all, I suddenly disliked her. Matanong lang kita Regine, bakit ka na nagbago? you're not like that before...)
5. Ogie (Because you left Michelle)
That's it pansit. More to come.

Pinoy Biz
I must commend Ms. Kristel Fulgar in Maria Flordeluna. Kristel plays Wilma in the series, the evil and envious and selfish stepsister of Flordeluna. Even if she has an angelic face, that doesn't stop her from making Flor's life miserable in the series. Her smirks, and her non-scripted gestures are just too annoying, you want to turn off the television ( but you just can't because you want to know what's gonna happen next).
Her great portrayal of the role will surely give her a big spot in the industry. Galing mo 'neng. I believe I will see you on TV for a very long time.
Watch her every night on ABS, nakakaasar siya super. May mga ganong bata pala. Ke-bata-bata eh, ka-dami-dami na ng kalokohan.
Grover. That's g-r-o-v-e-r-z-k.

Segue to...
I can't bear Regine and Ogie. No explanations needed. I get sick seeing them.

Pigtopia
I recently bought a book. It's Kitty Fitzgerald's Pigtopia.
I think it's about time for me to engage myself in another activity besides playing with Jett and watching CSI and American Idol. It's been a while since I last read a book and I miss smelling books too.
Re: Pigtopia, I haven't started reading it yet. Well, I read the first few pages, but I was kind of waiting for the perfect timing to read it entirely.
I hope it will be fun. I read the reviews, and they were, well, convincing enough. Anyway, the book's about a man who has deformities, and how he made a world of his own just to escape the world where his abusive mother existed. Interesting.
I'll give my own review soon.

American Idol Cherva
The current American Idol contenders, in my opinion, arent as great as the previous season's . I just noticed. I think Melinda and Jordin are the only ones who have potential to win. And I hope they'd win. Although i cannot deny the fact that I am amazed whenever Blake performs.
Even though I love singing bald guys, I cannot really "chew" Phil Stacey. He seems very stiff and frigid for me. He is like singing so great and showing that off to the audience. I don't feel him at all, maybe because he doesnt sing from the heart (unlike my true idol chris daughtry).
I hardly enjoy their performances, but I continue to watch Idol, malay natin mag miracle sila bigla.

Kachokaran
While surfing channels last night, I stumbled upon ETC's America's Next Top Model (latest season).
One of the aspiring models bluntly said she was conservative and disliked gay people. She even asked for the consideration of Tyra and gay judges, and for them to be open-minded about her opinions.
What she said made me raise my eyebrows.
ASAL (ang sa akin lang), before you ask for someone else's open-mindedness, isn't it just proper to acquire this same trait first?
Keep on aspiring.

In my line of work, the power of persuasion and a vast experience on public relations are a few factors to make a sale.
And when I make a sale, my work still doesn't stop there. Syempre chichika ka pa. Feeling close I know, but based on experience, it's kind of effective to know your customers personally. They seem to be more at ease with you and they seem to trust you. And when they need something else, it's a no surprise that they'll surely look for you. Suki-suki kumbaga. I also have this theory that most people enjoy talking about themselves. Biglang nagbe-beam yung mga mukha nila at bigla silang sumasaya and who wouldn't want a cheerful customer diba?
Anyway, kanina, we made a sale. So there I went again, asking if they had a new house, etc. etc.
However, I don't see anything wrong with that naman. Of course, parents or us Pinoys always have the purest intentions.
Nakakatuwa lang isipin. Only in the Philippines I guess.
If not for my curiosity, I would not have learned that. I wouldnt have this blog entry also. Wala akong babalik-balikan. Nakakatuwa lang talaga. Not only because we made a sale, dahil na rin sa masaya silang lumabas ng tindahan namin at dahil na rin siguro may natutunan ako.

Ain't That Mazelan
Allo. PS said I am the most maselan person he has ever met when it comes to eating.
With this in mind, I came up with the following list of meals/fruits/desserts non-appealing to my taste buds.
First of course, TINOLANG MANOK. I am afraid of chickens and I never want them near me. Tinolang Manok looks raw to me. It’s like eating dressed and headless and raw chickens. It’s gross.
Second, STUFFED BANGUS. Why would someone fill the entire abdomen of the bangus with lotsa lotsa onions and tomatoes when all we have to deal with this fish, in the first place, is its numerous and hidden tiniks?
Third, this isn’t actually a meal but this just has to be in my list: Pakwan / Watermelon. No explanations needed. I have no idea why I hate watermelon.
Fourth, Kiamoy. Naman! Ang asim mo ‘neng.
Fifth, anything with gata especially ginataang alimango. Crabs, Aligue and all the crustaceans are my personal favorites but when you mix it with coco milk, never mind.
Sixth, Chico. They just smell like beer! (although I looove beer.)
Seventh, Nilagang Baka. Like Tinolang Manok, this meal just looks raw for me. I am not really a big fan of broths.
Eighth, buko salad.
Ninth, Sinaing na Isda. Boooo.. not a big fan. Sorry.
Tenth, crepes and brulee. Again, not a big fan. They make my stomach churn.
Eleventh, paksiw. No thanks. I tried to really love you because you’re my mom’s favorite, but I didn’t succeed.
Fin!

Chidis
Although life at work has been very demanding, I manage to get by with my new CDs (thanks to sis Piningpine).
Piningpine got me a Daughtry album, finally! Sis said she was just passing by this record bar and saw the album. Sabi niya iisa na lang daw 'to kaya, grover, swerte!!!
Anyway, I have been listening to it and although it's kinda rock and loud and post-grunge, I am loving it super. Chris's vocals is amazing and the lyrics (which he co-wrote with the band I think) are also superb. My favorite is "Home". It's a sad song but who cares, I love sad songs!
I also got Imago's Blush. I never knew Aia wrote all the songs. Grabe, she's so talented... (uhhh! frustration kicking in hard!). Heniwei, the songs were uhh, so-s0. Parang monotonous and medyo inantok ako while listening to it. But still, props to Aia for her talent!

Team Unity Chaka
One of the many things I loathe about is celebrities running for mayor, congressman, senator, etc. etc.
I hate to be judgemental but aren't they just using their popularity to get the thumbs up of the people? I, at the same time, hate to be narrow-minded, but I just don't remember any projects they implemented for their constituents.
And now, even my all-time idol, Manny Pacquiao, will run for Congress this May. Come on naman Manny! Even without a position in Congress, you still can help a lot of people. Mas nakakatulong ka nga if you are just a caring citizen of our country. But anyway, I just hope you wont turn out to be the typical kongresistas we have. I have a MALAKING HAY NAKO! for you MP!
In this world, there is only one thing I truly believe in. And that is, go where your heart tells you go, where you can feel an overflowing happiness, where you can be yourself and not the somebody they want you to be...
But if MP's passion in life is to run for Congress and be the man with a lot of pork barrel, then so be it. Isang YES CLAP para sa yo men!

bonnieta
Hello again,
I have never told you about here the little girl I always see every afternoon. Let's call her "Bonnie".
I have been meaning to write about her but I guess her playfulness got the best of me and she just simply sneaks out of my mind.
I haven't seen Bonnie since Christmas. She was just gone for a while.
But this afternoon, while we were closing our shop, there she was again -- back to playing with the boys.
You see, Bonnie is very playful. She is a bit of a tomboy and runs around barefoot right across our shop. If I am not mistaken, she is at least nine years old. Bonnie knows every Pinoy game there is!
This afternoon, she was teaching her playmates how to REALLY play sikyo. I was looking at them for a while and they were just beautiful. After an entire day of work, work, work, it's nice to wrap up the day with kids who may be a little smelly and dirty but ironically, are just refreshing to look at. It makes you want to be a kid again and pretend that the world is a world of all the beautiful things you can hardly even imagine.
So back to Bonnie. I envy this girl. You see, I never played outside when I was a kid. I dont even know how to play sikyo! I was shy and I had a few friends. I just wanted to be inside our house and look at the kids who were playing outside. That's how I mainly spent childhood. I wasnt really a bibo kid unlike Bonnie here. She was so full of energy and she was a friend to everybody. If I am not mistaken, she was the boss of the group and the little boys, they are her reinforcements.
When I was younger, I never understood why my parents and even my favorite actors on TV call their kids as their little bundles of joy. But now, I think I understand them. I dont even know those kids and yet here I am, making a blog post exclusively about them and for them!
Bonnie and rest of the gang are just nice to look at. They make you forget that tomorrow is a war day again for you at work. They calm your nerves just by their mere shrieks and boisterous laughters. Bonnie and the gang are strangers to me but I dont care. Every afternoon, I look at them and it just feels good. They are so free and they just run around worrying about nothing.
Even if I am a child at heart and hardly worries about anything serious, there are still of course some instances in my life that I just wanted to be a real kid. A real kid like Bonnie.

MY KF.
My Koreanovela Fantasy originated even before our local TV networks bombarded their air time with Jo-Insungs. In fact, my Koreanovela Fantasy wasn't called as KF before. It was just, uhh, a 'thing' that I wanted to experience with the special people in my life. Only the Jo-Insungs strengthened this fantastic idea and made me think about it even more (and made me want it even more).
So here goes.
I have always dreamed of sneaking out at night for a coffee and doughnut (like the cast of Arirang's Non-Stop) or for a bottle of an ice cold beer at a local diner with any of the special people I have (like the cast of Only You). It would begin with a frantic yet excited-to-go-out phone call from any of the SPs, which after a while, would wake me up and make me don on a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt and just walk out of my house and meet my SP. Then, we'd just talk or sit still and savor the chilliness of the night (like the Korean love teams we watch on TV). Wow, even just writing about it makes me really excited.
I know, this is so achievable. But, if you live far from your friends and sneaking out at night is a mortal sin at home, this isn't really a great idea. :-) That's why this post you are reading is in fact a fantasy for me. :-) And although it's a fantasy, I promise to achieve it soon.
Again, I hope the cold weather we have in our country right now last for a while. And did you know that it's six degrees celsius in Benguet?? Wow, that's something.

Ka-Lameg!
Hello everybody, it's 21 degrees celsius outside.
For us here in the tropics, this is indeed a part of our everyday conversation. Everyone starts the conversation with, "Ang lamiggg!" or "Ang sarap matulog!" This includes me of course (I have always been in love with the cold weather). I just hope this will last a little longer, or at least until PS and I go out again. Hehe. Wala lang, it's seldom for us to walk outside because it's hot and it feels malagkit minsan. So there. I hope the cold weather will last a little longer para it would be nicer to walk outside and well, to achieve also my koreanovela fantasy (which I will expound on my next post). ;-)
Good night!

Enernainment!
My Wednesday and Thursday nights are once again reserved. American Idol is back! (Jajajanice's frustration to sing kicking in...)
Watch AI too! It's fun! Last night, they had Jewel as their special judge. She was so cool and she was so pretty. And her comments weren't like, "You're good", she made comments like, "there was a warmth in your presence that people will like". Ganyan, ganyan ang mga comments dapat. ;-)
And I didnt know Chris Daughtry had finally released his first album.... I can now smell the album cover of CHris from here, hehehe.
More on the boob tube extravaganza, Amazing Race Asia will soon end. THere are only four teams left now. I am rooting for couple Andrew and Syeon. I like A and S because they never fight. They always wait for each other and they're just so cool unlike Andy and Laura(who thank God, got eliminated last week). I really want them to win. I also like Joejer and Zab.
Lastly, I have been watching ABS-CBN's SANA MAULIT MULI-- nakakatuwa si Kim at si G. Anderson (sorry forget his first name...). Pambagets super pero keri lang, especially after a long day of work. SMM can actually put a smirk on my face. HAHAHA!
Pahabol, I don't like how Monique (Jackie's mom) acts in Maging Sino Ka Man. Bakit kaya siya ang kinuha. She doesn't move me at all.
End!

Harry Potter Book 7
Soon to release:
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows... (The Final Book of Harry Potter series! Yey!)
I cannot wait to read this one, I sure will reserve one copy again! And I cannot wait. I read some news about the final book, and they're freakin exciting!
But, I am gonna re-read first the Half-Blood Prince (Book 6). I cannot remember some details anymore. (And I have to prepare myself for Book 7).

I Miss My Friends...
When I started working here in the island, I have been avoiding checking my personal email. Not that I was shutting off myself from the only communication I have with my friends, but it was more of avoiding to be envious about their recent escapades. I will surely die of envy when I'd hear that there's a get-away they're brewing up. Up to now, I still cannot accept that I am missing a lot of good times and bonding moments with the geng.
You see, I love my friends so much. They're a huge part of who I am right now. What I believe in life now is mainly because of their influences. And I never forget to thank the Lord for giving them to me. They're my happiness besides PS and the first family.
But today, I had to see their latest group picture. Not to rub in my longing for them, but just to see them- just to see their faces, with make-up and happy and eyes all twinkling. I just had to see my friends. I wanted to see if they were all happy. And of course, masasaya ang mga acheng. Nainggit ako when I saw their group picture. They were all beautiful and happy and I was supposed to be there. PS and I were supposed to be there but then, we weren't. But in a way, I am happy. I am happy that we are all friends and that we all love one another. I feel some emptiness inside of me and it's because I don't get to laugh with them like the way I used to...
But... When I see them soon, I will give them all a big hug and a big bottle of VODKA!

Ang Lamig Lately Ano? Love It!
I am enjoying the cool breeze we have in our country right now. Not that it only makes me stay a little longer in bed than usual, but it really spells h-a-p-p-y for me.
I love the fact that when I wake up in the morning, my pillows are cold and my feet feel cold. And then, when I get out of the house, the cool breeze of the wind will embrace me and then I feel happy again.
Hayyy.... small little things...
Small, petty, little, things that give a little something to my heart...
I feel happy super. :D

Holiday Pictures I Kinda Live By
Christmas 2006. The first family posing for the camera before the Christmas Eve Mass. We had a lot of things to be thankful for last year. 2006 was kind of a tough year for us but we made it through. So, JC, thanks.

Besides eating all my favorite food this Christmas, one of the few things I also look forward to during Christmas season is my tete-a-tete with my long lost friends. Check us out! (Bebeth, me and Tabs)
My high school best buds. (Not in picture is besty banana, pots, fedch, rems, beloy and a lot more!)
Our first ever high school reunion. Thanks to the efforts of our classmates, our reunion was super saya! It really felt good to see your classmates. Some changed but most of us were still the same. The funny thing was, when we were in high school, we weren’t close to one another, but during our reunion, it was like we came from only one group! Lahat nagtatawanan, nagkukumustahan. Galing!

After Christmas, we also had our first ever reunion (high school). I got some pictures here below too.

Patawa Eh!
"Ano?"
He said, "Bitiw by Spongecola. 'Wag kang bibitiw bigla, wag kang bibitiw bigla-aa!'"
Heheheh.

BOKYA
It's fifteen days to go before Christmas.
Dito, sa isla, wala pa masyadong nagsasabit ng mga Christmas lights at Christmas lanterns as compared to the previous Christmasses a few years back. Whenever I drive to the market, I seldom see vendors selling lanterns and all that Christmas-y glitz.
Why is that? Dyan ba sa Manila, Paskong-pasko na? In addition to this, I rarely encounter namamaskos.
I have some theories why... like the weather disturbances.
Another theory is our lifestyle change. Nagiging parang mga Amerikano yata tayo, career-oriented and find a little time to run through the Christmas Wish List and feel, at the same time, the Christmas breeze.
Pero I still am positive, and believe that in the smallest vein that runs through a particular person's body, there is still that excitement to see the Christmas lights and open gifts on Christmas eve. Sana lang tama ang hinala ko.
Merry Christmas everyone!
... and enough with the typhoons please!

MYXILOG
In the first place, bakit ba siya andon? Hay nako. Nakakaturn-off. Riding the popularity of someone else's.
Sana lang, wag kumandidato si Manny. Ang galing galing niyang boxer. Halos lahat ng tao, saludo sa kanya. Mix this kind of admiration with something dark and dirty like
politics, men oh men, isang malaking good luck. To the future politicians and all those trapos in the land, men, gumawa kayo ng nakakatuwa para ipag-motorcade din kayo ng mga pinoy.
###
And of course, I am betting on Chad Peralta.
Gustung-gusto ko talaga 'yung mga artists na oozing with a lot of character, and parang pag kakanta puro angst. But when you continue to listen to him, you will feel the truthfulness in his voice. Hay. Chad's my bet. And he's super sipag too.
###
Merry Christmas everyone! Can you feel it na? Me, not yet. Pero, getting there. :D

Merry Christmas everyone! Can you feel it na? Me, not yet. Pero, getting there. :D

Kaya ayun, napadpad kami sa mamihan at siopao-an kanina. Anyway, we talked about a lot of stuff while we were feasting on asado and mami.
Ayos diba!
Ako, I wanted to really study in UP. Siguro, kung pumasa ako doon, isa nako akong interior designer ngayon. Iyon kasi ang inaaplyan kong course sa UP. Pero bumagsak ako eh. At napadpad sa Miriam College.
I told PS, na when I took the entrance exam in MC, i was so shy and scared. Hah! Pero when I started studying there naman, nice girls naman pala sila. It's refreshing, it makes you smile and you feel so, wala lang, parang buhay na buhay. Parang kulang kapag ganon. Parang magtataka ka. "Ano ba nangyari sa akin ten years ago?"
At kapag wala kang maisip, you will surely let out a big sigh, stare blankly into the wall or cover yourself with blanket and sleep all day.
At siempre, I will continue to collect beautiful memories, para sa future, meron pa ako ibang babalik-balikan.
Ikaw din dapat. Dapat madami kang baong happy memories. Ok yun.
Yes clap begins here.

The Songs I Used To Hear
Admit it. We have a mental list of our all-time favorite songs. These songs, in one way or another, played/play a great deal of role in our lives. In my case, my all-time favorite songs are associated with specific circumstances that I happen to encounter in my life.
Today, I am going to at least give you a clear view of what I am writing about.
1. "Esem" ; "Tsinelas" ; "Coño ka Pre" by YANO --
I just heard these songs again through Ebu's ipod and well, I couldn't help it, memories came and bombarded my brain.
I got to listen to these songs when Poang P bought a Yano cassette tape zillion years ago. She was only sixteen then and a freshie in UP. And I, on the other hand, was in my teenybopper year (I was thirteen then). Poang P came home with this album and we listened to it over and over and over and over. Praise Yano!
2. "Dreams" by THE CRANBERRIES --
The best band ever! And when Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks used this song in their movie, "You've Got Mail", it even made Cranberries the BESTEST BAND for me! Pagsama-samahin ba naman ang mga paborito ko! Aba, combo yun ah! :D
3. "Girl" by IMMACULATE --
Can you still remember this local band???? Or, can you still remember this song? It goes like this, "GIRL EVEN THOUGH YOU LOVE SOMEBODY, IM STILL HERRREE TO LOVE YOU..."
My high school classmate and friend, Toby, used to sing this song in one of our high school fairs. He sang it really well and until now, I still remember how he sang this one. For Winnie siguro.
4. "I Wanna Believe" by PATTI AUSTIN (ata)
Whenever I hear this one, it's Mina who first registers in my mind. Hayy, I have so many singer friends. :) I always ask her to sing this song.. and she's so great. :D
5. "Breakfast at Tiffany's" by DEEP BLUE SOMETHING
This one's Hospi's song. Period. :D
6. "Soon" by MOONPOOLS & CATERPILLARS --
I love this song. Ang cute mashado. High school ako noong nakilala ko ang bandang ito and it was through Banana, the chinagirl. After that, I started telling everybody about that little trivia.
7. "Swing Swing" by ALL AMERICAN REJECTS --
My URL is swingjanice.blogspot.com.
I got inspired with this song and decided to name my website, "swingjanice".
I picked this song, because the message was so freaking fantabulous. It's so positive and I love positive songs. Swing swing!

Esten
The saddest news I can ever receive is the death of a friend or a loved one.
Two days ago, Che, my high school friend, sent me a text message that one of our friends passed away. Her message said, "Kristine Joy is already gone, please pray for her..."
And of course, I had to confirm it, I called her and the news was true. Esten happened to inhale some chemicals in the company she was working for.
I started telling all our high school friends about it. I just realized, before, I usually send text messages to our friends telling them about an upcoming get together.. But now, I send them a text message very different from that. It was about the death of our perkiest friend. :-(
In addition to that, our high school friends usually visit the island for vacation bu now, they go back to the island to see our dear friend for the last time....
We saw Esten for the last time this afternoon... It was one of the saddest sights I saw. "Nalagasan na kami ng isang kabarkada". And it made me really cry so hard.
My friends and I were so devastated. But well, sabi nga nung pari, we dont own our lives, hiram lang yan kay JC...
So to Esten, wherever she is right now, I hope she is at peace now... We will miss her terribly...

Alam Ko Na!
If I were a patron saint, I would definitely be the Patron Saint of the Frustrated Dancers (specifically solid gold and hot legs dancers).
Well, not to brag but, I can do some moves naman, but they're just aren't graceful enough and once again, I look like a pole. There are so many skinny, tall women who can pull off a great dance production number, but me, I will just stick with the "I-can-do-some-moves" statement. Bokya kung papaigsiin natin.
I love to dance. I love it so much that sometimes (or oftentimes) I get so ecstatic and throw my long arms and long legs everywhere! But I love doing that! I am a dancer in the first place (according to my personal checklist).
So I have been thinking. My previous post was so strong (for me) I had to really think of what "saint powers" I would want to have should opportunity arises. And while listening to my trance CD... alam ko na!
I want to be the Patron Saint of the Frustrated Dancers. I want to give hope and at least a feeling of greatness to those, including me, who drool over the perfect splits and hip-breaking moves of Hot Legs and Solid Gold Dancers.
We envy them I know, and we even cannot be like them, but allow me to reiterate, that as the Patron Saint of the Frustrated Dancers, we have moves they don't have. They may master our moves but they cannot do those moves the way we do them. How about that.
So there, finally, nakaisip nako kung anong santa ako. Ang sarap ng feeling. lala!

One of the things I miss the most...
I want to kick some balls with the gang. I want to sweat my stresses off, score a goal, run wild in the field, and arms up in the air. This is all I want to do right now.
I want to kick the ball hard and stay out late playing football. And I miss wearing my soccer shoes. They're comfortable and I love them.
I just miss playing. Ang sarap ng feeling na yon because the next day, you'd feel really refreshed, your pores clean and your skin glowing and your body toned. Wow.
(There's a problem uploading images. Sayang.)

This is the Janice Way of Handling Things
October is now here. And I've got jitters.
Nine days from now, I will be turning twenty-five. Geez.
Last year, I wrote about how I see twenty-five-year old women. They're independent, decisive and confident. However, I am pretty far from this idea. A part of me cares, but a larger part of me thinks about redefining it. After all, it is who you are that really matters.
I am not an independent person nor decisive. I am impulsive, immature and can you believe this, at twenty-five, i still do baby talks?! There are just some habits you can't change, and no matter how hard I try to at least change them, I just go back to my old me. But then again, I love my old me and I am happy with my old me!
And of course, I am happy when I am being myself. I guess there can't ever be a happier moment than being who you are.
Pero, when I think about this real hard, there were times in my life that I felt indepedent and mature. It just happened because there were situations before that asked for it. So there, I did try to be indie and immie and maybe, in some future situations, I will once again get my "immie and indie cape" and handle them.
But in everyday life, well, well, well... :)
Advance Happy 25th Birthday to me!

Ah Ewan!
As much as I would like to think of happy thoughts, masyadong malakas ang powers ng bad vibes ko ngayong araw na'to. Happy thoughts won't just work this time.
And the saddest part of all, I don't even have a solid reason why I am so annoyed today.
I cannot just breathe in and out you know.
Urgghh!

Come on, come on
PS and I attended a franchise seminar this morning. It was an event organized by our local government and it was one of the few events as well that I "wholeheartedly" participated in.
Sayang, walang raffle. Hehehe.
The seminar was of course a success. Mostly owners of the businesses were the ones who did the presentations, and that's why they were so great. This is basically the same with the "love your own" attitude we have...
As I was saying, I did learn a lot from the seminar and right now, I am thinking of really taking the plunge, getting my own pair of wings and just do it!
Because of this, you will see below the businesses that I am very much interested in. I wouldnt want of course to venture into something that I am not very into. But if that business would be so darn profitable, then why not? :D
Here goes my wish biz list:
1. Furniture and interior design shop (ala Our Home and Regalong Pambahay, I love interior design after all-- although the pers pamili is currently into it, I still would love to have my own shop)
2. National Bookstore franchise
3. Events company
4. Hang out place for the bagets :D
5. Gadgets shop
6. Rose and Grace Franchise (do they franchise?)
7. Gusto ko rin yung mga crafts shop... (kaso ano naman tutubuin ko don?)
8. Salon and spa..
Hayyy... ST lang 'to. :D

On Nihonggo
It has been my long time dream of becoming a true blue Haponesa. Wala lang. I just want to be one. If I would be given a chance to choose my own nationality, I would definitely be a Haponesa, not a geisha, but just a simple Ani of Shaider will do or a pop singer like Utada. However, I do not seem to like the animes Japan has. I just love the women, hmmm, that sentence didn't come out right.
Skip to, when Japanese fast food, Tokyo Tokyo, launched its So Japanice campaign, I was thrilled! It was so near my real name, it was so meant for me. Kahit dito man lang, kumonek ako nang bahagya! So Japanice!
Because of this, I have made up my mind. I will find ways to study their language. Unfortunately, there is no school here in the island that offers foreign language. I might just have to rely on the net or seek the help of my first cousin, Juli, who is half haponesa. Too bad, she lives in Cebu now.
To those who are fluent in Nihonggo, can we do an online tutorial?
And I wanna go to Japan too!
Kio Tsukete Kudasai!

T.O.L.
Maldita ako, masungit at spoiled brat.
At ayaw kong malaman yon kase nalulungkot ako.

Magni didn't make it as the lead singer of Rockstar Supernova. Too bad. Even PS' top choice, Toby Rand, didn't bag the job either.
And who would have thought Lukas Rossi would be the boy of Supernova? I thought it was Dilana, she was so awesome. In all her performances, she was always the second best for me (Magni of course was my first).
Anyway, lahat naman sila magagaling. As in. Mas magagaling talaga sila kesa sa last year's season.
Hayy, i cannot wait for the next season. And I cannot wait for the Rocktar compilation album!
Love, love it!

DEAL NA AGAD!
Whenever I hear the Deal or No Deal theme on my lolo's TV next door, I suddenly feel a little something inside my stomach.
I totally hate it when Kris shouts her famous "Is it a deal or no deal?" line. Studio contestant will suddenly have this facial reaction, which is very much similar with the former contestants. She'd clasp both her hands, look at her reinforcements, or mouth slightly open trying to decipher what they are trying to say. And then she'd say, "NO DEAL!!!"
PATAY NA!
Expect now the worst guesses. Suddenly, all big amounts will begin emerging. Contestants are now secretly blaming their friends and loved ones, and one may be thinking about repeating the entire game!
Hayyy... It's the same old course every single night.
It's a game of chance after all. And it's a game of choice as well. Should contestant choose to say deal even if P2M is still there, she's a winner already. But if she continues to fight, GAHAMAN! Ayan, wala siya tuloy naiuwing pera!
I watched one episode where the contestant didnt take home any money. That was a sad sight for the highest-rating show. Nakakapanglupaypay.
Kelan ka ba papalitan?

It's a game of chance after all. And it's a game of choice as well. Should contestant choose to say deal even if P2M is still there, she's a winner already. But if she continues to fight, GAHAMAN! Ayan, wala siya tuloy naiuwing pera!
I watched one episode where the contestant didnt take home any money. That was a sad sight for the highest-rating show. Nakakapanglupaypay.
Kelan ka ba papalitan?

LABADAMI-LABANGO!
News Flash!
PS recently opened the first laundry station in the island! Yebah!
It's a very big risk since most houses here have their own washing machines and laundrywomen to take care of their dirty laundry but PS took it anyway. But, with right marketing strategies to boot, Washmore Laundry Station is slowly becoming a household name here!
WLS's machines have been busy running since day one! And this afternoon, a first-time customer brought all his 23-kilo laundry! Yey!
WLS is also targetting the hotels, hospitals and restaurants, however, all WLS has been getting are inquiries. Well, we are very much hoping their inquiries will be Job orders someday. :-)
Thanks to JC, we still pray our customers will always let WLS handle their laundry. But with that kind of price WLS has, I am positive WLS will sail through this last quarter of the year!
Wish us luck!
